Workshop Agenda

Day 1 - Introduction to Proteomics and System Setup

• Overview of Proteomics:    Introduction to proteomics, its applications, and the role of mass spectrometry.

• System Setup and Calibration:    Detailed walkthrough of setting up the Exploris 240 and Neo UHPLC, including calibration and routine maintenance.

• Sample Preparation:    Practical exercises on preparing samples for proteomic analysis, focusing on common pitfalls and best practices.

Day 2 - Advanced Techniques and Data Acquisition

• Mass Spectrometry Techniques:    In-depth exploration of advanced mass spectrometry techniques such as data-dependent acquisition (DDA) data-independent acquisition (DIA), and parallel reaction monitoring (PRM).

• Data Acquisition:    Hands-on training in real-time data acquisition, including troubleshooting common issues.

• System Optimization:    Techniques for optimizing system performance to achieve high sensitivity and resolution.

Day 3 - Data Analysis and Applications

• Data Analysis Tools:    Introduction to software tools for data analysis, including Thermo Fisher Scientific's Proteome Discoverer.

• Practical Data Analysis:    Hands-on sessions analyzing data sets, interpreting results, and applying findings to research questions.

• Q&A and Troubleshooting:    Interactive session with experts to address specific challenges and discuss advanced applications.
